..and now for the necessaries.

Please note: St. Anthony Catholic Church is the only church celebrating the Traditional Latin Mass (Extraordinary Form of the Latin Rite) in the Wichita diocese. Though this blog is loosely centered around this parish and it's members, Venite Missa Est! is by no means, in any way an official voice of, or for, St. Anthony Parish or the Diocese of Wichita. Venite Missa Est! is strictly a private layman's endeavor.

Latin Mass (EFLR Mass at Blessed Sacrament
An Update from Larry Bethel

Friends,

Happy to report there will be an Extraordinary Form of the Latin Mass celebrated at Blessed Sacrament today, Aug 20 at 6 P.M.  Blessed Sacrament is located at 124 N Roosevelt St, Wichita, KS. Phone:(316) 682-4557.

Fr Jirak is having a  Latin Mass at Blessed Sacrament once a month.

This is the feast day of St Bernard, Doctor of the Church, founder and Abbot of  Clairvaux Abbey.

Here is a little background on St Bernard; http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/02498d.htm

Many thanks to Fr Voelker. Also Luke, who served as master of ceremonies, all the altar servers and Bernie Dette and the choir for the beautiful Mass this Sunday.

Blessings,
Larry
