Fall is around the corner. The days are shortening, the amarillis are blooming, the lightning bugs have ceased glowing and the sleep of the seasons is not that far off. This morning was my first sighting of a gaggle of Canadian geese flying in formation...early arrivals? The monarchs have passed safely and the June bugs don't bang the screen door as frequently. Here and there one can spy a withering leaf amongst the trees....and the waning moon intoxicates.
I love the coming season and, beyond that, the start of the new liturgical year.
Thank God for all the seasons.
